Commenting on the awards, Alan Kidd, editor of Planet 4x4, said: ‘This is the most credible verdict ever handed down to the British 4x4 market. We recruited some of the country’s most respected vehicle testers and they examined each vehicle in real depth – these are results you can really believe in’.
‘We’ve never been slow to criticise Land Rover and its products in the past. So it’s only fair to recognise the extent to which the Range Rover, Discovery and Range Rover Sport impressed the most experienced team of testers ever put together by a British 4x4 magazine.’
