Recently bought Freelander 03 Auto and alternator packed in, fixed under short warranty.Radio & CD player OK came to set sat nav and is not able to calculate route,it goes thro to setting destination and voice says calculating route but comes up on message page unable to calculate route,tried the reset in the user menu but to no avail.Also the compass arrow not working.Any ideas please

sounds like it isn't connecting to the GPS module. I think the external aerial for the radio forms part of the kit. Has it been replaced?

Hi,the aerial has not been changed,in the user manual for radio/cd/sat nav it just mentions various sensors fitted around vehicle.The only difference there has been is the battery being removed to be charged up while awaiting alternator.Thanks for quick reply.

Hi,just to let people know that sat nav is now up & running,cleaned up a couple of scratches on disc.In user manual it says press 2 buttons simutaneously to reset but found it reset when pressing 3 buttons at a position that the memory knows exists.According to the memory I live off road when I have lived at my address for over 8 years.
