The Freelander Club are running an outing and day out at the Dunkeld Land Rover Experience at the end of September. If you live in Scotland (or are prepared to travel a bit for a day out), and own a Freelander and want to see what it can do in the safety of the Experience's site without going out in the wilds then you'd better hurry up and become a member to come and join us for the day! Applications and money have to be with the club by 14 September.
The day will include some tuition and a drive round the centre, then you get let loose in your own car on the trails in the area.
For info contact the club via victoria@freelanderclub.co.uk or PM me here or on the Freelanderowners.com website

If the furthest off road you have ever taken your Freelander is the supermaket carpark then you will love this course that is specifically designed to show you what you Freebie can do on a non damaging but testing route.

Yes I know I haven't got a Freelander anymore.............................

Steve, the Rangie will be going.
The free LRE day I got when I bought it was no challenge for a vehicle with all those fancy driver aids so I'm taking the Defender too - no ABS, no Traction Control, no HDC and I'll run it on the BFG A/Ts instead of the Grizzly Claws I normally play on. I'll let my Dad have fun in the Rangie. He is now getting a taste for mud plugging having taken the Defender round the special stages of the QEFP recently when he and mother got an invite to Morrsion's Dealer day. 60 or so Land Rovers from Freelanders to a £110,000 Overfinch 5.0l Range Rover Autobiography had a great day out on the same route and special stages as the run FE used in June.
The Morrison's day was a great success last year so they decided to run it again this year and were rewarded not only with a lovely dry day but also 60 owners joined in compared to 35 last year. FE could learn from them too - Morrison's have a giant BBQ and boar roast in the Milton campsite at the end of the day - and it was all free.
Are you going on the Forest Drive this weekend?
