i've got 3 or 4 brand new steel traps perfect size for raccoon/fox. (can't remember the number but i think a 3 or 4) found them in box of random stuff from when i came to the uk from the states. leaving again soon and i'd rather not have them for customs to find as i don't think they are quite legal here in the uk . if any one would like to buy send me a pm w/ resonable offer. i'm in huntingdon (cambridgeshire)

This is a silly area of law. As I remember it, it is legal to own but illegal to use them. There may have been some changes in that the traps have to be made unusable (!!!)

Depends on the trap whether they are legal and what you are using them for. I use springer number 4 fen traps all the time for the control of wasels, rats, rabbits etc. in my release pens. You have to ensure that only targeted pest are able to get to them and that you check them once a day for them to be legal. There is a good code of practice on the BASC web site which spells out the law.
