Another "should I" thread

I am tempted by a '94 300tdi. It has a clunky gearbox and a noisy back axle. Boot floor OK, fitted with ABS and a/c. Am I asking for trouble?

If you have to ask us then you must suspect as much yourself!! :D

If you go for it then make allowances in the price to cater for a new gearbox and rear diff. That's about £700-£800 off the price of the vehicle then. ;)
