Hi there,

did the first long trip with my Disco (700km) and it did run perfect. A little oil dripping right below the engine, but that seems not much so it should be within the tollerance.
Cool driving experience, feels a little bit like a "glas house" because of the big windows. Much better view than from my Terrano.
See the attachment for picture.

Take care

Martin
PS: Tried the Eberspaecher water heater as well ... working.:yay:

Very nice Martin, when is it going off-road to get dirty.

It looks very clean ubderneath as well, you must be well pleased with your new purchase.

Left Hand Drive I see not in UK then ?

Congratulations Martin,

1 On the Discovery
2 On the webpages
3 On the MBA

Just off thread for a paragraph I was interested in the assignments and your choice of dissertation topic.

I chose the Morgan Car Company as the basis for mine
PM me if you wish

Back to thread; I don't think that you have much to worry about re: the discovery, it looks good and at least you know what the little shift in front of the main shift is for

Enjoy :yay:

Cheers
Howard

Hi guys,

funny punch of peoples .......:yay: Thanks for the good good wishes.

There's plenty of mud here in Austria. They do off roading all the time here as I heard, but I do like my cars soooo much that I would feel sorry for them if they get dirty. Ja ja call me softy :angel1:

That would be my hometown (not Vienna, but centre of Austria) where they do this offroad festival all the time:

Ups, just took a look at the page .... it's only in German ... lazy bones there.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming winter. Will sure be fun to test the first time my Discovery.

Hey, I found it quite exhausting to drive 700 km with no cruise control. So I searched for an "do it yourself" control around and that's what I found (in German again):

http://www.waeco.de/pages_d/products/auto/default.htm

klick "Geschwindigkeitsregler".
It does look quite complicated to build in all by myself but the price is quite reasonable only . I will call a LR garage to ask how much is the original one.
Does anyone have experience with self fitted cruise control?

Cheers

Martin

Hiya :)

Budgie fitted a unit on his Disco, he's at the Belgium Ntional just now, but i'll prompt him for info when he comes back.
Been thinking of fitting one myself .....but its a choice between that and a GPS system.......at the moment the GPS is favourite :)
