Discovery MPi 1993 Gearbox

I have recently acquired a Discovery MPi. What gearbox is fitted is it the LT or the Rseries. Could someone please explain the gearbox differences and what year Discoveries are fitted with which box.:D

Hi welcome to the forum :)

89-94 manual Discos (V8, 200tdi, mpi) all had the LT77 - 5 gears, reverse up to the left.

94-98 (300tdi) had the R380 - 5 gears, reverse down to the right.
