98 disco, 4.0 gasoline , have never done this on a land rover , what is the best way to remove and replace the freeze plug , its leaking fluid, what tools and so.

Do you mean the core plug? (this thing)
Bang a screwdriver through it and pop it out of the block/head. Be careful that you don't knock it inside the engine. Clean around the hole with wet/dry paper or similar, apply a thin film of thread lock/stud fit or similar, and then carefully knock the new one in nice and square using a socket.

is this located just above and behind the oil pan i think its the same one , if so thank you!!:)

Engine in the pictures is a 2.5 N/A engine, but a core plug is the same on any engine, as is the way of replacing it.

what is next to the core plug , on the right! i may need to replace that to !
