Just a reminder that Hi-Lifts used without the full attention of the operator bite. The injury was done last Sunday and looked alot worse around midweek. It was as I was lowering the Series 2 down and took the weight heard the pin go home so all the weight was on the handle and I think my hand slipped off and wack slightly dazed and bleeding alot.
Not looking for sympathy or pointers on my lapse of concentration just hopefuly learned a lesson for us all.
Hugh.
PS the jacks OK

They can be nasty things, same as angle grinders, but neither require any training to use them. Now, a chain saw requires a license and, although hardly a safe machine, I think they are easier to operate than the afore mentioned lethal weapons:rolleyes:

Unfortuantly I found out the hard way too...wet, muddy hand, sticking pin, and a lapse of concentration. Caught me square on the jaw and gave me 15 minutes of stars and flashing infront of my eyes.
I am looking for a non slip grip for the handle now.

Glad you ok Huey and recovering well mate.
I hate highlift but the problem is they are a very handy bit of kit. Have got us out of a few sticky situations where we didnt have a winch. It sort of saved the day.
Catch up soon mate give me bell this week.
