Help needed with brake lights

Every time I plug my light bar into my 2000 DII TD5 and press the brake pedal, the right brake bulb blows.

The trailer wiring is standard 12N. The light bar works fine and doesn't do this with other vehicles.

Does anyone have an idea as to what could be the problem?

I am assuming that the lights bar works fine with other vehicles? as that would be my first suspect. However, I once had a 12n socket on a vehicle that had a stray earth wire, just a bit of copper that hadn't got properly held by the screw in the socket and it occaisionaly made contact with another pin when connecting up as they are sometimes a bit wobbly.

long shot but it might just be. Have you tried another trailer to see if the problem persists?
