Every one has said the brakes, but what about the antirollbar drop links and/or mountings?
Mine are noisy, but passed the MOT last week.

My noise (when not braking) is between 40kph & 60kph (25-38 mph) and is a howling banshee type of noise which sounds to be from the lower right hand side. Suspecting a brake binding type of problem I jacked up both ends and found no binding at all but didn't take off the wheels as I was just leaving for a long trip round uk which I have now done mostly at just over 70 mph. The noise is still there. The car passed it's MOT 2 months ago and there is no irregular behaviour when braking but it's not had new pads for some time. Any ideas (maybe the pads are knackered or loose or something) ?

Last week I had the brake pads replaced and the garage checked out the noise. They charged two hours time plus new pads for this (£ 150) and concluded that the bearings need replacing. Both fronts plus two new disks quoted at € 650 (about £ 450 quid ). I will have this done as the screeching and howling could well be one or more broken ball bearings or a crack in the run. (The noise is a nuisance).
Over the weekend I consulted my Haynes manual to see if I could do it myself to keep the cost down. It's just about my limit and quite a bit of work so I suppose I'll donate my hard earned cash to the garage again.
Anyone else had bearing problems ?
