I am considering selling the 90 and buying a Disco V8 to replace it. I have a couples of questions.

I believe they have the same engine/G/box etc as the Defender, do they leak oil the same?

Secondly, do defender wheels fit the Disco?

Any other advise on buying and what to look for gatefully received.

Thanks

Andrew

what age are you looking for?

Disco 1 is essently the RRC with the same running gear

Disco 2 shares some similaritys to p38

Not sure what V8s have been fitted to the Defender in the last few of years? the 50th anaverery has esentaly the same V8/auto box combo as my disco 2

I am looking for something about W/X reg, I wont be doing a lot of milage hence the V8. It will be for greenlaning and camping. I want do raise the suspension, airintake etc. It will be to replace the 90. If I go to pay and play I will use the Lightweight.

I have two small children so the 90 is not really conveniant so it doesnt get used a lot, it is for safety and if the kids fit in safely it will get used more.

at that age it would be a disco 2 much beter built but alot of electics ... if you want a 7 seater you will have a problem liffing thse as they have to have air suspension in the uk as it was type approved with this fitted its not a problem if you are looking for a 5 seater. But to be aware you might not need to lift is as this has an ofroad setting on this kit

If it has ACE it drives alot better and is ideal for the pace of the V8 ... but it is expensinve when it goes wrong

the V8 has the same water/block problems as the p38,

Defender weels whont fit p38/ new shape RR do

hope this helps
