you shold be able to get adaptors to bring your F'@klindur up to iso spec for hifi (if it doesn't already) then rip all the land rover installed out and put in whatever you want..
Best place to by is in the back of stuff like "Max Power" I apologise for polluting the forum but the hifi by post retailers are excellent and do much cheapness. Far better than Halfraudsand you get better specced ice. Fone a few up as someone will probably have put a mahoosive one in a firelander!!!!
My best advice is to sell it an buy a defender tho!!!!

My '98 is ISO already. The changers compatible with the existing head units are made by Phillips, mostly anyway. There's a few on e-bay usually if you look, generally go for around a hundred. I've got one somewhere but don't have a cable and never tried it. I'll sell it if I ever get around to testing it !

Hi M8,
Thanks for that. Just a couple of questions more!!
What exactly is ISO? and does that mean any Philips unit is compatible with the clock etc.
That one of yours, can you let me know a bit more and if I like I might just help you out in return(if it is a good one that is).
cheers m8

ISO is just the standard for the connectors. The Freelander clock/display seems to be a unique thing (my clock died and I replaced with a simple clock and replace the stereo also). Changers seem to be different also.
I still have to find a way to test my changer, and there is someone who is already interested. If it works and he doesn't want it then I'll let you know. OK ?
Cheers

ok m8, thanks for that. if there is no interest in yours just give me a shout.
have PM'd you...
Pre 2001 Freelanders have a standard ISO radio interface, and the post 2001 models use the BMW radio interface, you need to buy the relevant ISO convertor loom from autoleads (you can get them in Half***s)
