intake Manifold

I had just changed my intake manifold and the car is making a hissing sound when i step on the gas. after a second it stops. should i worry? and i how do i repair that?:o

Would suggest you have an air leak somewhere.
Check the gasket didn't tear.

Its a V6 2.5 liter engine.

I changed one of those on Saturday. Have you fitted all the vacuum pipes? There are 4 or 5, there is a little one near the throttle pot that goes underneath, check that isn't off. I assume the rubber seals are Ok on the pot and the manifold?
