Air release noise

I bought a 2000 Discovery II V8, I have to say that I am very unfamiliar with the car. There is a air noise like "týst" which is coming periodically while stopping(Engine running) and also there is a simultaneous vibration under my feet.

Is it normal????

Yes, It has air suspension (SLS+ACE)

The ACE makes all kinds of wierd noises. The AAS shouldn't give sudden release noises, but if it's all working ok then it's probably just the ACE doing it's thing. The one my dad had with it fitted made wooshing and groaning noises depending on it's mood.
