Hi - This is my first time on this site I came across it without knowing what it was but it appears to be the font of all knowledge.

With htis in mind I need to replace, I think, my fule pump? I have a surging on kick down at around 3k rpm all other driving conditions its fine. I have replaced the injectors, lift pump and filter and the fault is still present! The part number thats currently fitted is ERR6700 ( yes the expencive one) - will an ERR4046 fit / work? Any advise will be very greatfuly recived.:)

Hello welcome to the forum :)

Do you have an immobiliser? ERR6700 is the right one for a vehicle with immobiliser. ERR4046 is for vehicles without immobiliser. I think this is because part of the immobilisation system is a diesel shut-off.

WHether it would work, or whether it would mess up the vehicle electrics, I don't know. Not sure I would like to try it though!

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes mine does have the immobiliser - so I don't think Ill risk fitting the other unit / part number!

Thanks anway.

Cheaper one will work it just needs a switched feed to the stop solenoid to make the engine stop and start on the key.
