My beloved 1992 disco 1, 200Tdi, seven seater, manual, 'carrigada green' has just failed its MOT. It has 115K, the engine and gear box are great as is the body work. The interior is good too. BUT, rust has taken its toll underneath; "all ....excessive corrosion ....within 30cm of (all) the body mountings" and "nearside rear (chassis) suspension mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded" plus a few mionor little bits and pieces that even I could fix. What I cannot do though is weld and I have neither the time nor space to attempt it. The consenus at my local (trusted) garage was that is probably not worth it in terms of time or money since other stuff will need doing next year and so on ad infinitum. So!! What is it worth? :(

Sorry but it doesn't sound like it's worth very much at all. As is I would think myself lucky to get between £200 to £500 for it.:(
You will probably get more breaking it but I dunno if that is an option for you.
I think the most valuable bit is the engine as more and more people are stuffing them into series and early defenders after a little modification.

You have got me worried now. I am (was) going to look at a 1992 Discovery 200 TDi with a new MOT, 114,000 miles which has new gearbox/clutch and appears to have been well serviced. Asking £1200. I can fix mechanical bits but like you cannot weld. If I go I will spend a long time underneath with my big torch and screw driver.

If you drop lucky you might get £500 because of the engine and gearbox . Put it on Ebay and state say a £450 reserve.
