glow plug light

hi i'm new to this to bear with me just got a 95 300tdi es disco and it dose not seem to have a light for the glow plug is this rite of should there be one

Do you mean it doesn't have one, or it doesn't light up?

It won't light if it isn't cold enough to need glow plugs.

The glow plug light is fitted to all 300 TDI's (top right hand corner of the instrument panel) - but note that the light is only a timer indication and will also come on even if all four glow plugs are U/S.

hi thanks its just i've not seen mine come on at all

The light should come on everytime you turn the key to ignition and then go out in about 10 seconds - but the light will go out straight away if you start the engine without waiting.

hi i do wait all the time about 5 to 10 sec but no light but always start's on the button
