My rear diff pan was leaking from the top due to rust.(As they do)
Did I book it into Steve Parkers and spend £??? to have a new one welded on?
No,I painted it with some thick goo I had to repair flat roofs,I then cut a strip of flashing just to fit nice on the top half of the diff pan,then I got round to finally fitting the diff guard I had bought ages ago.As I tightened the clamping bolts up the goo oozed out nicely.
No more leaks.
(The diff guard was perhaps a front one but it works.)
