Easy.
£100 at 75.9p(£0.759) per liter over 1077 miles.
100/0.759 = 131.75 litres
131.75/4.45 = 29.6 gallons
1077/29.6 = 36.39 mpg

Hi Duncia,
Very good. Was that on a run or genral motoring ????
The most I have got so far is 33mpg and that was with Bio-desiel on the weeks work run which is 26 miles each way on fairly open roads not doing more than 65 mph. Normally average 30 ish most weeks.
Whats the secret ????
Cheers

It is a months motoring combined fuel figure. I have no idea why I'm getting such good consumption apart from I learned many years ago that to keep a vehicle in good nick you treat it with respect and do not thrash it, everything lasts longer. I tend to drive everywhere in the Disco at 60ish.
I get my need for speed from the Audi but yet again a gradual acceleration rather than thrash thru the gears.
So a light foot is the answer I think unless I've totally cocked my figures up but sure I didn't.
What's Bio-Diesel?:dunno1:

Zzoy,
Bio-Diesel is diesel made from Vegi-oil or rape seed oil and Methanol. We have a local chemical supplier on or industrial estate who makes it and sellsit for 50p. per litre tax paid. Run very well and gives a slight improvement in mpg. (between 2 and 5% increase).
Have a search of the threads and you will find all the links.
Cheers
