my 300tdi auto discovery has started making 1 muted clik/knock when throttle is released quickly, doesn't do it when changing gear under normal throttle load, heard best with window down.has 117000 mls under her,any ideas out there also just fitted new Colway c trax mt 235/70/16 which rub chassis on full lock has any one else had this problem?

I'd check all the UJs for play, it sounds like you might have a worn one.

What wheels are the colways on? that's the standard (stock) tyre size so i would have thought they wouldn't foul the chassis

A simple adjustment of the steering lock stops will fix that.
