Sorry, not LR related but you lot are so helpful and resourceful!;)
I am looking for a load sensing valve for a 1989 Ford Cargo 0813, the original part is an AP Lockheed part, that has been obsolete for some years. Ideally I need a seal kit as upon taking the seized valve apart some of the seals were in a bad way.
Anybody got any leads? Or better still a brand new valve for £4.99?:D

Hi Jim, i take it you have tried the main ford agents in your area, there are still a lot of these old style cargos on the road today, given that iirc the last of these came off the line around 1989, then the dealer supply chain at daventry usually carried stock in the line for around 7 years. so i would think that there should be a chance of them still having the parts availiable.
Failing that you should try some of the small independant dealers that are scattered around the countryside. they are usually guilty of keeping a load of seemingly obsolete spares.
Good luck with the hunt..................Kev.

Tried loads of places, everybody saying the part is obsolete.
Can't believe you cannot get parts for a Ford Cargo thats 17 years old, not exactly rare!!!

Thanks, but now sorted (I hope!) I found a few people offering the valves but none of them were the right ones, lucky really as they are £350-£450!!
I took the old one apart, cleaned it up with my Dremel, superglued the broken seal back together and it is all working fine..........
A few people say you can do with out the valve completely, so not the end of the world if I end up by-passing it.
