Hey peeps, putting memory map on to above pda, will the pad have enough memory or will it need loading onto a sd card? Does this PDA take the same card as the HP pda's which is standard sd card???

Dont know anything about your particular device but you will probably be ok putting MM straight on, the maps however are quite large and would be best on an SD card.

Luke.
Im pretty sure this takes the standard sd card,to dload mm you will need to get a sd card,i use a 1Gig sd card they are now cheap.
Amazon sell them for less than a tenner.

Edit that....Less than 3 quid (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-1GB-Digital-SD/dp/B00070QI1I/ref=pd_bbs_2/026-0049202-9866053?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1185566349&sr=8-2)

Says "expandable memory with standard SD cards" on box, so i'll get a SD card tomorrow tops.

Is a 1gb big enough ?

Beware the cr@p makes though. I got mine for a GPS and read that some GPS units find it difficult accessing the cheaper cards. I got the same make that came with the GPS.

1 gig should more than enough, you should be able to get at least 2 regions on it.

The 2 Gig micro I got was £18.51, Curry's price was £25. That's the same make as the one supplied with the GPS unit. There are a lot cheaper ones (not micro) but I wouldn't know which is which.

Up and running, thanks toppa for configuring it all, and thanks AJ for other things ;)

for info, you can fit regoins 1 - 6 on a 2gb SD card, and 7 - 11 on another.
[Or the lot on a 4gb, should have bought one  ]
