Hi

Have similair problems with my disco, turns out to be caused by seals on the injecor harnish failing . This has resulted in oil tranvelling along wiring loom.

Now got to replace Injector harness, Engine Harness, and Fuse Box. And a cost of £750.00.

Hope this solves the problems but this is what my Land Rover dealer has told me, so hears hoping.

Good Luck

Had similar on my Disco ie. No windows and no fan, turn off/back on and all works. Turned out to be the ignition switch. The little metal tabs that hold the ceramic to the metal had become lose. Sometimes the switch would work, sometimes it wouldn't. I put a scewdriver on the tab and give it a little tap to tighten up the joint. Been working fine since.

Pleasehelpme's answer is a bit of a red-herring as the TDi doesn't have an injector harness. His Td5 (and mine) does and they don't work and cost a fortune to repair. But that's another story.

I'm with coco on this one. Good luck finding it.
