May have been posted before, but I just watched this excellent video from BBC/David Attenborough about 2 Land Rovers driving from Paris to Singapore in 1955. It's about half an hour long.

Buy the book, its called "First Overland", that video is from the BBC documentary on teh same - its a great read :D

Got mine from Amazon, less than a tenner as I recall.
