Pulled the wrong plug!!? Help

I went to change my oil and pulled the plug just behind the one on the pan. This plug has a magnet on the end of it. About a 1 1/2 quarts came out. Is this part of the engine oil? It looks like the engine oil. It is the case that drive the front axles.

It smells like gear oil and would think it should. Funny it seems so light w. Where is the best place to refill and what type of fluid do you recomend.

That is the IRD.

You need to remove the underpan to get to the engine drain plug.

My issure is with opening the wrong drain plug. I opened the one for the front right trans axle by misstake. The panic is over. I put the fluid back in the vent tube up top of the trans axle.
The fluid looks like it needs replacing and was wondering what you recomend.
