Excellent news, especially after so many near endings of the project. It's a shame the RAF couldn't keep her flying, but they're so cash starved they can barely afford combat aircraft, let alone historic aircraft..

We have this aircraft parked up where I work. There was an intention to keep it in a reasonable condition but time has left it's scars on the old bird and there hasn't been any work done to it for as long as I can remember.
It is a shame I suppose but things move on. There's not a hope in hell of a budget being made available for anything but it's destruction now as it is well past the point of any rework being economical.
There isn't many Vulcans remaining now and the one at work is the last painted in the original all white colour scheme.;)

Isn't 603 the one that used to do taxi runs years ago?

I think it was always intended to do taxi runs with 603 but I seem to recall that the best it ever managed was running an engine up at, one of the now defunct, Woodford Airshows.
The old retired members used to tow it around the airfield but I don't think it ever moved under it's own steam after it arrived. Pic: 603 arriving in 1982.

Congrats Rich :D
I see you got there in the end ;) And now you have transport.
The only peice of advice I can offer is DO NOT get a credit card or overdraft to pay for fuel/repairs unless you have enough money to pay it back within 3 months . Not that I'm annoyed with myself for falling into the same trap of course :banghead2 :banghead2
