Hi Techies.
Driving home tonight, dipped clutch, couldnt get into gear, tried again, pedal went to floor and wouldnt come up. Called RAC. guy suspects collapsed(?) slave cylinder, Its still under 3 month warranty from Dealer so I took it there, he says he doesnt think the warranty covers the clutch. Only engine, gearbox, and somethin else (cant remember) but hell speak to his boss in the morning.
Worst case scenario , I have to pay for it, how much of a hole in my pocket am I looking at?

TD4 is in the bellhousing, K and L series are outside.

The slave brackets break, it could be that.

Read small print of warranty. It may exclude the clutch friction disc but include the non-wearing parts. The clutch is my least favourite bit of my Freelander. It doesn't have a positive sort of feel to it even after a new master cylinder.

the TD4 is in the Bellhousing and if its the Slave Cylinder(which it more than likely is) there is a good chance that you have brake fluid on your clutch, which could cause you more problems later, hence the reason i put a new clutch in as well.
Touch wood, its been as right as rain since, and unlike Fergie 2035,i have no complaints.
