Just after the part number for the piece of metal that the A frame ball joint sits into, it's off a 200 Disco 1991. As I am swapping it onto my 90, and was wondering if I the two parts were identical, so I can just take this to a garage and have them press it out, without having to take my A frame off the 90.

Do you mean the rear axle fulcrum bracket?

It's the bit that connects the pieces that come down from the chassis, to the A frame ball joint, there are two bolts holding it in place, plus the one on the ball joint which connects to the top of the axle. Plus are the A frame ball joints from a 90 the same as the disco's? The part number and esription for the 90 is nrc3923 or anr3037 bracket rear axle fulcrum.

For Discos, the 200tdi up to KA053936 uses bracket NRC3923; the rest and all 300tdi use ANR3037.

The ball joint changes with the bracket, the earlier ones had NTC9932 and the later 200's and all 300's had ANR1799

Hope that helps. BTW, watch the torque on the two bolts - they can go elastic before the 176Nm specified

Does that mean you have a nearside A frame arm lying around - the bushing on mine is seized on the bolt so I have to cut it out and so a backup that I can clean and rebush would be good?
