malcfish has lost drive in his Disco( 200)...he pulled into a carpark and it wouldn't move , dropped it into low with diff lock n away she went...he then drove home in hi (difflock)...would this be half shafts or drive flanges...It happened to me in BETTY, but just thought i'd ask, incase its the same..?

Its got to be something between the transfer box and the wheels, and since a prop is pretty obvious, it'll be in one of the axles: diff, half shaft, drive flange. If it was on the front and was a CV joint, I'm guessing there would have been so much noise before drive was lost that it would have been investigated long ago. I'd work out which end first, then check in the order of flanges, shafts then diff, easiest first.
