So sticking to basic essentials what does anyone whose done these type of trips recommend taking.....
Food, tools, recovery stuff, spare parts, etc etc
I suspect the list could be endless thats why i'm asking now so that we can buy and research well before the event....:)

You will need to fit a Nato tow hich then,
and I think the trailer wiring may be different to standard. Try posting in the Mil section for details. Wath out for their habits, the wern't known as "Snakeys" for nothing!

Would a combination pin and ball type hitch work on a Sankey?
I plan to get one which we will share between the Range Rover and the 110. We will probably end up ripping all the wires out and starting again. It won't be that hard to do. :)

Only a nato hook works, the combination pin and ball type hitch is too small, as the ring on the trailer is so thick, you can not get the pin through. There is a thread somewhere about all the options, best seems to be to have a dixon bate drop hitch fitted and two sliders, one with the ball hitch and one with a nato hitch.
With regards to the wiring, you take the exisiting military plug off and fit a standard 12N to it, oh and you may have to swap the indicators around with the rear lights, as for road use the indicators have to be on the outside edge,

Good think both the Range Rover and the 110 have adjustable plates. :p I recon we will get one at Billing next year. Craddock seems to be the best place. Although.....how do we come back with a caravan and a Snakey....:scratchCh

Get another drop plate and fix on back of caravan... :goofylook
Now that would be a reversing challenge for you...

I passed some 110's in convoy the other day, towing Wolf trailers. Noticed that the were labeled 40 mph max. Coincidentaly, it was between 40 and 50 that I found Sanky's began to snake.
:behead:
They generally (IMHO) opinion snake cos they are so overloaded,
and yes I have turned one inside out!:camo:
