It could be useful for members to come back here from time to time and read their own post - to remind themselves what they were doing before the forum took over their lives.....

Looked on ebay, you could have bought stephens for 50p, taken down south and then sold it for £1.50 and made a £1 profit to enable you to buy maybe three new lifes.... errrr... split personality coming on here I think..... :buck:

:yay: i seem to have a gained a secret life since becoming a landi owner !!! the kids no longer wants lifts everywhere, the neighbours have stopped shopping (well they dont ask for lifts anymore!!), the husband refuses point blank to get in either passenger or driver side (that might have something to do with the initiation ceremony I provided him with !!!!) I wish I'd brought a landi sooner !!! the only family member who loves me enough to come for a drive is the dog!!! (german shepherd called Ebony) I can tootle along waving to strange young men (rather nice strange young men!!!) and not get the third degree, totall respect on the road - no being cut up or unofficial handsignals being given !!! .............where's my keys..... i feel a landi adventure coming on......... ******.... damn things still off the road (n has been for almost 6months now!!) oh well, it looks like its back to the sink and the washing up .......

Lighting90

Yep, I think it is something like 50 posts and then you are no longer a Junior....

So whats wrong with yer Landie then Salliejo?

Christmas is coming up, so now is the time to write out your list of things that you need... nothing better than opening a present containing a new bit for the Landie... :p

i must be very careful how I word this cus I got told off on the Series III forum. To cut a long story short!! I took 'Herbie' off roading. 1st couple of days pouring rain and I did ok. 3rd day ground had dried out, I miss read conditions, zoomed up hill n nosedived down. bang went gearbox n engine mountins, rad and it didnt do springs, chassis or engine too good !!!. took it to a landrover mech. agreed to do other bits for me ontop of damage..........1200.00 later.......6months later (shhh dont tell the old man how much) and i'm still getting the "it'll be another 2weeks yet sal..." ".....it's doing fine.....dont worry....." not too sure what to do now..... he's been paid and still my land is in bits!! PLUS theyve managed to spill paint removing stuff down my wing and now they having to respray it for me!!!!!

hmmm, doesn't sound such a good garage, maybe that is why I do a lot of the work myself when I can. Very reluctant these days to let garages near my vehicles, but I sometimes you have to.

Well, hope you get it back very soon, and get back out there having fun. So far I have been lucky, though my parents have bumped into things on the farm. :p (always seem to be large stationary things like buildings... :buck: luckiy they don;t read this otherwise I would be in trouble...)

They don't touch MY landies, that is for sure... at least not now, had to rescue my S1 from them, my mother was using for everyday transport when her car broke down... mind you the previous owner of the 90 had covered it in dents, the met office. I think they must have been using it like in that film about chasing tornadoes... :p

Bales of hay on the wings, have you seen the size of the bales these days.... :hahaha:

my family learnt their lesson very fast !!!! I allowed my husband to drive herbie, not telling him that the master clutch cylinder was leaking (badly), he was having trouble changing gears and I told him it was his crapdriving and i would have got away with it if in the middle of traffic lights in kidderminster the clutch fluid drained away totally leaving him totally gearless !!!! and guess what !!!! the only people who stopped to help were LANDI owners !!! hows that for comradship for you !!! . my stepdad, who had gone on about how fantastic landies were for years without ever owning or driving one !!!! attempted to drive it for 5mins and decided that landis were not for him !!!!! it's quite lonely trundling along with only a fourlegged companion to chatter to .......

Lighting90
12th Nov 2003, 21:11
Erk, live chat, could never keep up with that...

Reason for my nick name, Lighting is my job, I work for a Architectural Lighting Design practice, nothing to do with speed, that is for sure..

90 is the main mode of transport...

S1 is the special... sunday drive vehicle, once I sort out the electrics, well, almost done it now, think I have found the battery drain. :p

Lighting90

Well, I find the S1 not too bad for fuel, does about the same as the 90, though you don't get around fast, top speed about 50mph, but you are more likely do 45mph... :p
