Hi Peeps,
My daughter has an IQON 15.4 widescreen monitor. But the thing thats really getting to her is the aspect ratio of the screen. She takes loads of photos but the screen squashes everything, including websites. Does anyone know how to change the ratio to 4:3 maybe? so the pictures look true to form??
Thanks in advance, Jon
It's your graphics settings that are causing this. Look in the Display properties (assuming Windows, right-click on the Desktop and select Properties. Click the Settings tab. In the section marked 'Screen Resolution', you'll probably find the settings are for a 4:3 monitor, e.g. 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 etc. Whack this all the way up to the top, or at least to something reasonable. It might take a bit of playing with until you find a Widescreen resolution (on yours, you'll probably have a 1280x800 setting - that's about right for a 15.4" - my laptop has this as a maximum).
I don't know why they allow resolutions to appear that will distort the screen image, but that should fix it.

cheers Timm, I'll try that at home on mine, maybe the missus will stop complaining about looking fat in pics:D
Glad to be of service - I normally look at these posts after about 20 people have already answered the question!

Thanks for the reply Tim, I've set the res to the max @ 1280x800 but still looks squashed:(.
