(2002 TD5) Can't Belive it all my 3 lights are on the 3 Amigo's I belive.
Can the light be flicked out if so how long will it take for them to arrive again.
It is going into a garage tomorrow but I don't want them to just flick the lights out I want it sorting as I have only owned it for a week.
What is the most likely cause.
Thanks In Advance

You have to go and get the disco plugged in to the diagnostic computer!
It might be that there is just a silly ecu fault or more likely it is the sensors on the brakes that are faulty. Either way the computer will tell you.

those 3 amigos are a common sight for DII. quite often it is just a minor hiccup in electronics signal, and not quite a mechanical fault. but LR will charge an arm & a leg to remove the 3 amigos. LR should have built in a reset button, so that the owner can reset the err without running to the workshop. of course, if the amigos keep coming back, then it is a sign of needing some mechanical attention.

Had new front sensors on which has now sorted the 3 Amigo's so will see what happens now.
Still get ABS light flick on after a few left turns but goes off after re-start so hope this is not too bad.

These can apper when your wheel baring is on its way out, Jack the car up and feel for play
Its a Right hand drive isnt it? I had an issue with the lomb between the front left sensor and the ECU, there is a replacment avalible through LR for that bit of the wiring as it can develop faults
Took aload of visits to an indi for them to work it out

Yep it's RHD will check wheel's for play.
Also hard left corners and a few bumps pops ABS light on but goes off after engine restart is this a common problem or is there a cure.

mine was doing that and it turned out to be the wiring as i said but it did not take a hard corner
If it was my money i would think its the bearling, bad news they are £££

if u had changed the ABS sensor and the ABS light still comes on again, then the problem wasnt the sensor in the first place. restarting the engine will reset the ABS light, but not always. source of your prob could be wheel bearing as mentioned, tyre condition, or even brake pads/disc. i was having occasional ABS/TC lights on. changed my tyres and so far the amigo hasnt come back.

Yep that's what it was for me, I ignored it for a few hundred miles then needed a new bearing kit (£260), plus all new front discs pads etc etc which had been chewed up because the bearing had got so bad :( Just off to pay the bill this morning, dreading how much it will come to
DOn't just assume it's an electrical fault, get the mechanicals thoroughly checked out, THEN put the computer on it.

2000 TD5 Hi, I have been having this problem on and off (literally) for about 5 months, so far I have Had diagnostic re-set (worked for about 2 hours then bing bing bing) then i had new discs and pads (worked for 2 hours then bing bing bing) then i had shuttle valve repair and your never gonna guess what (worked fine during testing at garage and when i picked it up before even starting the engine bing bing bing) Now i am just taking it day by day most of the time it is off at the moment but occasionally they pop up again and re-set after engine re-start, the thing that is really bothering me is that the lights never come on under braking etc just during normal driving, surely one of the systems should be in use when the lights are triggered? as far as i can tell all systems work fine! If this problem is as common as it appears to be then shouldn't it be upto landrover to come up with a solution instead of just charging us poor owners for parts than we may or may not need? there doesnt seem to be any one fix for this problem it can be any one of about a dozen causes, somebody must know the answer?

Hi i have been plagued by this problem for months, but i think i have made a breakthrough! there are alot of things that can cause this and some small fixes but it seems the only true fix is a new ABS modulater for the bargain price of 1,200 quid, BUT...there was a factory recall for all disco's pre 2003 to replace the ABS modulater cap which was apparently too thin and cracked, the part is B148 and if it has been changed there should be a sticker somewhere with this number on, the good news is if it has not already been done on your vehicle land rover will do it for free!
