Hiya, I have a disco 2 TD5 Auto. at the weekend i was pulling a trailer up a slope and lost traction. even though i had it in low box only the front two wheels spun. Is there a diff lock button or stick i don't know about,? as i foolishly thought all four wheels would spin in total loss of traction.?

After a run up no sweat, got the kids scared though

The TD5 has traction control as i understand it, if a wheel spins the traction control brings in the ABS and stops that wheel spinning and the drive goes to the opposite wheel. I think there is a minimum engine rpm before the traction control comes in.

The difflock is still there on some of the TD5's and you can get a kit to activate it from within the cab.
