MFU (multi function unit) & BCU (body control unit)....??

Hi,

I posted a while back that I'd been having electrical probs
with my 98 Disco 300tdi following a heavy downpour e.g.
rear wiper/washer,interior lights,rear demister,lights on chime,
seatbelt warning,front intermittent wiper,rear fogs not coming
on or coming on off their own accord & not switching off again.

I'd been pointed in the direction of the MFU,piggybacked onto the
main (interior) fuseboard & I've picked one up from ebay but as
yet haven't got around to fitting it,I havent checked out earths etc
as car is driving ok apart from above gremlins.

Anyhow,I decide to do another search & noticed that others have had
similar issues which turned out to be the BCU.Is the BCU a series 2 Disco
component as I cannot find it in the series 1 section of the rave CD ?

I think D1 has something similiar for the windows locks etc but nowhere as complicated as the D2.
Worth looking on the Rave wiring section for the earth locations and checking them all out.
