Saw this on BBC Wales tonight, surely they can't be serious about dumping this rubbish from across the water in a country park. I mean lets face it its a bloody eyesore.
Comments anybody?

its your opinion its an eyesore, but I do agree with you its an eyesore and totally out of place in a country enivornment.
bet if you put it in a front garden in a suburban street the where it would might not look out of place the planning officers would be round like a shot, but stick it on a nice hill somewhere and its OK to do so.

Agreed Pete, Artical does say 'could be' , but its frm 20th june on news tonight they said it will be erected.
But its all to do with Liverpools year of culture, with has nowt to do with us in Wales and I dont want to look out of my front window and see other peoples cast offs.
I would however be more than willing to write you a letter of support to have it placed in your street so long as it was manged properly that is.

If you click on the link again, and look under "coments" - we've been spotted and quoted!
As you say - it's a publicity stunt, and the lambanana will be sold at auction - if it's still there when they come to pick it up.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is stolen - then ransomed for some cash. I remember that happening not so long ago for anothert "Art" exhibit.
I still think this would look better -

I hope that elephant inflatable was inflated only by the 'lungs of the righteous' and not using a dirtysmelly petrol generator or mains electricity. After all that would be missing the point a little wouldn't it?????
