Default West argyll 4x4 first drive for 2010

Our very first drive of the year has now been arranged for the dates as above 13/14 March The two day event is our normal drive and no provision has been made for shiny or muchloved vehicles. The routes will have the usual bumps and grinds accompanied by a some tight tree avenues so you have been warned
Our costs are as usual £25.00 for a single day or £35.00 for both days. The meeting point for the weekend is the Birdfield Wood entry point Grid Ref reads NR 96195-94565.
The entry point from Inverary direction is after the village of Minard approx 1 mile on your right and is the white cottage with the Saltire flag in the garden. Please go slowly when entering at the cottage, once off the main road follow the forest track uphill untill you reach the quarry at the top of the hill, this is our meeting point.
Try to arrive no later than 9.45 and ensure you have a good supply of fuel and food and drink .

Hello all our friends yes it does seem a long time since our last outing but hopefully the lukll will have spared the tracks a bit.The weather last year did take a heavy toll on some of our runs and we must try our best to limit the use while the ground is so unforgiving..That said we still have a few nasty spots in need of some TLC ...well a load of rock in places may be a better way of putting it..So once more we may ask you all to load a few rocks at certain areas .This as you know will not detract from our time spent driving but will help keep some of the softer routes open
