Can anyone help?? I have a TD4 which has had problems over the last few months. Had 4 injectors changed plus LP fuel pum which sorted out the original issues. Since then I notice mometary surges/ power loss when driving, not all the time mainly noticeable when backing off the pedal rather than putting it on. This culminated last week when it died on me. ECU said no fault but RAC traced it back to fuel pressure sensor - when you wiggled the wires connected to the senor the engine either started or cut out so it seemed like this was the problem. I had the fuel pressure sensor changed immediately and initally seemed fine until engine got up to temp after 10mins then it began pinking/knocking. This was put down to overfuelling and faulty sensor (wiring wasnt replaced incidentally) Another new sensor fitted a day later, again all seemed fine on quick test run but then when I drove it for 10 mins or so the same pinking noise which seemed to come in at around 2500 rpm, eventually engine light flickered and major pinking noises (I mean major!) and the car died. Have taken it back to the garage who fitted injectors, there are no fault codes so its headscratching time! It hasnt ever had petrol in it, only diesel (this was questioned) It's doing my nut, I need the FL for towing and its causing me no end of grief at the mo!
