    Default Hand Throttle attachment point

I am slowly sorting out my "new" 1984 LR 110. The hand throttle does not work so I traced the cable to the throttle linkage on the motor. The end of the cable is not attached.

Can someone snap a picture of the attachment point for the end of the hand throttle cable and post it.

    Thanks for the help.

What engine do you have, petrol or diesel?

You don't say what Engine you have?

For the 2.5 Naturally Aspirated Diesel and the 2.5 Diesel Turbo (19J) Engines, this is what the Hand Throttle Control Bracket (ETC6630) on the Injection Pump looks like -

As you can see, there are two throttle levers on the shaft.

From memory, the accelerator goes to the inner lever (the one inline with the larger hole, for the plastic adjuster), the hand throttle goes to the outer lever (inline with the smaller adjuster hole)

Good info to include...I have the 2.5D (naturally aspirated). Hardtop version. I need to go look under the bonnet when it gets light. I don't recall something so obvious as in the picture. I need to look again with that in my brain. It may be more than just a missing clevis pin. Thanks for the replies.

Paul, the pictures were perfect. The "lever" for the hand throttle had simply rotated down where I could not see it. Next question as I cannot tell from your attached diagram...is there a part number for the pin that actually attached the end of the cable to the lever? I am currently living in Italy, and there is no help down here for the old 110.

    Thanks.

Glad to have been of assistance.

The Clevis Pin and it's split pin are (according to the parts book) the following part numbers-

    Clevis Pin - 562481

Split Pin (choice of parts) - PS102081L, PS103081L or PS603041L

These are the same parts as the Accelerator Cable but, to be honest, any old clevis pin and split pin of the correct size, would do the job.

A good resource for looking up part numbers is - http://www.numcat.ru/

It's essentially the Land Rover Dealer's Microcat system online.

Some of it is in Russian - but a lot of it is in English

It works well with Google Translate

As an example here are the pages for the Hand Throttle and Accelerator Cables -
