Default Breakers yards in Scotland...... is there any?

Anyone know of any Breakers yards that do LR's. Anywhere in Scotland.

I live up on the moray coast and there is nothing up here. Not that I have found anyway.

Will be visiting tay mouth in april though and willing to travel from there. I am wanting to go somewhere and have a good dig around. Need a few bits n bobs

    Cheers

Overton, Aberdeen break LR's......but the days of pitching up at a licenced vehicle dismantler now with your own spanners is long gone. They have a website where you see what they are currently breaking, but do your homework first, the cost of some secondhand components can be very close to new LR main dealer parts. And they don't do little bits and bobs, they sell the large components then shred the remaining parts as stripping and storage is expensive.
now on the twilight side of the hill.............with still too much to do!

I'd have to say that every LR related enquiry i give to Overton seems to result in "sorry we dont have it when i know they do or 400 for a pair of wings" scenario. Ive never found them to be of use.
However i know people that have bought engines from them for cars and had great service........

I was at Ashgrove recovery and bodyshop in Elgin in December where they had a defender but couldnt sell bits even though it was going to be crushed, gutted.

Occasionaly landys pop up in the highlands at the scrappys in Evanton or Muir of ord. Most that are destined for scrap normally get snatched up by enthusiasts for parts before the thought of scrapping occurs.

What bits and bobs are you needing anyway, i have a s/h parts stock of random things might have what you need.
