    Default 200TDi : differences between 11L 12L and 14L versions

    Hi guys,

I've been offered a 200TDi out of a 1993 RRC which looks to be in good order, its a 14L series engine which I cant find much info on. Does anyone know the differences between the common 12L (Discovery) and 14L (RRC) versions of this engine, with particular interest on how they might affect a conversion project of a 1980 series II diesel LWB?

If it helps it's out of a 5 spd manual vehicle:

    VIN: SALLHAMF7KA637364

    engine code : 14L02050A

    Cheers

    Ben

Nah that was a kiwi typo, and then I couldn't edit the post from my iPad (or at least I couldn't figure out how to do it) so my new baby is a 1980 series III LWB

And I'm still hoping someone has some experience with the 14L version before I decide to buy it. The wrecker wants $2000 for it which is about 1000 and I'm loath to spend that kind of money without having a good idea it will work at least as well as a 12L engine.

To see what involved just look at a disco 200 conversion into a series.............tons of treads everywhere............

    It will work.........
