    Default Td5 battery disconnect

I'm new to this forum and I hope this hasn't been discussed elsewhere. I have a 2001 defender 90 TD5. I'm going to fiddle with some of the electrics ( 12v socket etc) and I am perfectly happy doing this in most vehicles HOWEVER, I can see from the various threads that the immobiliser / alarm can be a little temperamental. I've read the procedure for disconnecting the battery within 15 secs- do I need to do anything special when I reconnect or does the alarm immobiliser stay synced with the key fob. Any wisdom will be appreciated !!!

I've done this plenty of times without bother. If you don't make the 15 sec the alarm will go off. Just connect battery and disarm with the remote.

Just connect the battery again, no special procedure required.
