Been up and running for about 2 months now, best think I ever did. Installation took two evenings, after I'd sorted out where the bits where going. Its doing about 12 mpg on gas, where as I never got better than 13 mpg on petrol. This is on the daily 5 mile each way to work. The best bit about it is that it starts on gas from cold, and the engine runs like its already warm, no mis firing or jerkiness. Only thing worrying me is taking it of road, I might miss out the water splashes!

Sounds very good, looks like another thing on the shopping list for the carawagon.

Are you using the standard points, dizzy ect or have you gone electric?

All the electrics are as standard at the moment. I was told by several installers that they wouldn't fit me a system until I'd uprated the ignition with a sports coil, and electronic ignition, however it seems to run just fine on the standard points. As and when funds allow, I'll uprate it all, as the mpg is not all that good, but there again it was never any good on petrol. I can only assume that a heavy foot, combined with a gutless 7.1 compression engine, SATS, and no overdrive combine to make it this way. Got a good 8.1 head I'm thinking of fitting to see if that would improve the performance. The old engine which lunched itself at Sodbury would do 65mph, this one will only do 55mph, and takes a long time to get there.
