Madoobri, I'm betwixt Helmsdale and Golspie.... I saw you had been away, and thought; darn it, should have shouted at you before you went camping! I see you had a good time though....

Definately, give us a yell! I bet you dined in La Mirage..... nice seafood or what? Langoustines....

There are a couple of nice runs around Helmsdale...on tarmac right enough, but the kind of Tarmac with grass in the middle...The road through Loth is a cracker (and a suspension tester if you have leafs!) And, if you like fording, theres a good one in Brora.... I dont use it, as I reckon they would think there had been an Exxon Valdez type disaster from downstream....

Actually, at home, you aren't all that far from Andy MacBog....

Did you see Nancy Sinclair? She's a double for Barbara Cartload (sorry...Cartland )....The restaurant is full of pics of her at functions and meeting famous folk, like.

I was talking to the stalker at Badenloch, and he was telling me that when Barbara was alive she always used to send Lord Leverhulme (also dead and gone) a christmas card with a photo of herself on the front every year. Seemingly Lord L invites Bryan the stalker in one christmas, and in the hallway there is a double staircase with a fireplace in the middle...big roaring fire. All round the fireplace there are all the cards that BC has sent LL for the past gawd knows how many years. LL says to Bryan, " What do you think of all the cards??" Bryan, "Very nice your lordship" LL, "Yes, they keep the kiddies away from the fire....."

There was a restaurant, The Bunnilidh, across the road, but the lady that owned it has moved on now...(long story...) I think it might have been bought and taken over, but it was shut last time I looked. It always had a model of an alien 'grey' in the window, for some reason!

Have a look at www.broraweb.freeserve.co.uk/ as well Thats a bitty nearer home to me.
