If it doesn't leak then take it back and ask for your money back because it certainly ain't no Land-Rover.

LOL...............too right i would, but next time i think id do a 3 door in pick up form with a 2" body lift, 2-3" on suspension, full set of sliders and big simex or fedimas. And.........since discos are becoming cheap as chips i might just go buy one for the fun of it when ive done with my other projects...............trouble now is that ive a series to chassis, and two young lads queing at the door for body work and resprays to bright orange..............where will it all end?????

Re: Bob the disco, can i build it????

i've just read my way through this complete thread and I'd like tae stick my tuppence in.

First off, Kev, brilliant job, really detailed pics and write up, it's what these forums were made for, excellent work, love the colour.

secondly, it was brilliant to read all the positive responses and constructive comments.

I'm running a 3.0 Hilux surf at the moment, I popped over here for a wee look after following a link from Stumpey Doofler on our forum ( http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/ ) and I must say, I'm very impressed (especially with the scottish section ) I intend to be a regular visitor because I think that anyone who likes to play in mud with trucks have very common grounds to discuss tech stuff, off road sites etc, even though the wheels they trundle round on come from a different factory.
I tend to avoid forums who get 'snobby' about the type of cars they drive but it doesn't appear to be that way here.

Hope to meet more of you in the future, I've met James (stumpey) on a couple of occasions at Drumclog.

Anyone heading to D9 end of April?

    cheers Alan.

So, just when you thought it was finished ive gone and bought a new set of rubbers to go on her............235/85/16 insa special tracks.........they look the dogs danglies..........more pics to follow when theyre fitted. Picked em up bargain style from a guy in Edinburgh £300 for the six of em. only done 2 road miles when he decided they were too big for his VW Synchro. Ach well his loss.........reckon ive saved big style............since they retail around £70.00 a piece new.
