    I was wondering at one point if he was having to tilt his head to breath!

    Quite amazing. Glad it wasn't me though. All that water couldn't be good for the engine. I didn't see if there was a snorkel or not but I suppose there must have been to get that far without air.

    If you look closely on the passenger's side it looks like there's a home-made snorkel. There's a thin line between brave and stupid, not sure which side of the line he was on but I wouldn't have done it

    The snorkle would have stopped the engine breathing water, but did he block up all the breathers? The engine crank case breather/filler? Water in the sump would have meant the engine was lubed by water as the oil floated away...
