After a few years of not shooting I've started up again. Two reasons really one I enjoyed it and 2 Virve has been offered specialist forensic training in firearms crimes so she reckons she should at least have some experiance of guns.

Been out and bought an Air Arms S200 and found a local range but now I need to get some insurance.

Is it worth joining BASC and taking advantage of their members insurance scheme or is it better just going to a specialist insurance company?

If you are going to shoot then BASC is a sensible move anyway, regardless of insurance.

But to answer your question - £59 a year membership to BASC gives you 10 million pounds third party liability cover, similar cover from a specalist broker [assuming you found one willing to risk you] would cost in the region of £600 - £1,000 a year

what happens if two BASC shoot each other accidentally on a hunt can both claim?
