    Hi Markymark,

So... are you a LR owner? prospective owner? ex-owner?

    Default Car coming soon

Yes, I have placed a deposit on a Disco II 4.0 V8 1999 V REG GS MODEL with a gas conversion. I am concerned that the car I have bought, (dont get it until Saturday) has got ACE or not. How do I tell?

    Method:

...approach a corner at high speed (this is a Land Rover so lets say anything over 35mph) and turn steering wheel.

    Possible outcomes:

    1. Actually stays on Road - has ACE

    2. You end up in field - doesn't have ACE, now you find out whether the diff lock works.

    Steve

(Seriously - I've no idea how you tell... look for a switch with 'ACE' on it???)

hello i'm also new, used to live in Grimsby so i might bump into you sometime, not literally of course in your new motor!!!

i visit every so often, friends working in Hull.

as far as ACE concerned cornering idea sounds a laugh but GS may or may not have as standard, 7 seat probably - brochures
    should tell you.

It will have a warning light on the dash, it will come on when you first start up, then with a bit of luck it should go out.
