Who fancies a days paintballing?
Hi guys,
I'm looking into a planning a days paintballing for forum members. This thread is to gauge interest and collect ideas and suggestions.
The purpose of the day trip is to get the forum members together for a fun day out, and raise some funds for the forum and its preferred charity.
The date?? it will be a Saturday or Sunday in late November or early December. 21st Nov, 22nd Nov, 28th Nov, 29th Nov. or 4th Dec, 5th Dec, 11th Dec, 12th Dec.
The Venue?? I am suggesting Yorkshire Paintball Centre near York. I have picked this venue as it a long running site and has good feedback and reviews. I also have some contacts there, who are happy to help to make our day as affordable as possible for the forum members by providing substantial discounts on the entry fee.
www.ypc.co.uk is their website, feel free to have a look.
The price?? Is still under negotiation with the owner of YPC. As i am trying to get it as cheap as possible for you guys. If we get enough interest, i should be able to get the entry fee down to zero, free entry! if this is the case i will be asking for a £5 donation to this forum. all you will need to pay for at YPC is the paintballs you use.
The day.??? arrive on site at 9.30am have safety brief, Play paintball all day and have fun, and leave at 4-4.30pm.
If you think you are up for this please post below, and give an indication to the date you would prefer. This is open to all forum members, family and friends. (paintball players must be 12 or over).
Please ask me any questions you have, and would the forum owner/ fundraiser please contact me with their thoughts via pm. thanks.
Andy

No need the Mrs is off work this week and has decided to paint the kitchen
going on past experiences when she has a paint brush in her hand you take your life in your own hands when entering the same room.

Re: Who fancies a days paintballing?
Bit far for me would have loved to. Also going to a local site on 21/11 and 19/12 and when I am paying for me and my son it can get a little expensive at once or twice a month.
For anybody who is thinking of going... DO IT!!!

Re: Who fancies a days paintballing?
Unfortunately, there seems to have been very little interest on the thread. So it is unlikely that i will be able to arrange this with these numbers. But i have got some VIP ticket books. So anyone who has posted interest and does still want to go, still can with discount.
Basically a book of 8 VIP tickets (rrp £30) gets you entry for upto 8 people. once you have your ticket book, phone up ypc and book yourself in at date to suit you. you will be required to pay £10 deposit per person, and this buys you your lunch and first 100 balls in advance. After that just pay for the balls you use.
Anyone who is interested, please post up or PM me for anymore details.
Thanks
Andy

Re: Who fancies a days paintballing?
I would love to have gone, but its a little far. I have only been once and it was a right grin. I went with two mates and a group of others from one of the guys works. These were all guys that work out in the rain day in day out, and me (not unkown to work in the rain on my landy).
Anyhow our group of about 8 were flinging ourselfves behind barriers, shouting orders and working well as a team.. most of the others were afriad of getting muddy, ankle deep in places) and would ony crouch behind obsticles rather than lie in the dirt etc..
Walk over was not the word for it, more like a masacer. Its was brilliant!
